Carolyn's Beach House

The lovely high set home has all the comforts of home with great view to Sunrise Beach. Pet friendly and oh so clean. Beach is just a short walk and eateries a short drive. We did Italian..yum. We even had a balcony visit from several of the local birds. Would definitely recommend a booking for this one. - Robyn W

Perfect home for a weekend away for a family of friends!! We stayed at this lovely property on a wintery weekend in May. Sometimes the rain came down and sometimes the sun shone – at all times the house was a beautiful, warm and inviting home. First impressions are important and Carolyn’s does not disappoint. The grand staircase entry takes you up to the front door and deck from where you can see, hear and smell the ocean. On entering, the relaxed feeling is augmented with a view of the fabulous couches in the main sitting area. Having said that though, my main focus was the kitchen, which was well laid out and fully stocked with all manner of implements AND a bottle of wine! There are three bedrooms upstairs – one with ensuite – and a separate toilet and bathroom. There is also one bedroom downstairs – with ensuite. The bedrooms accommodate 5 single people or three couples and two individuals. We found 6 to be the perfect number as we ate around the dining table or spread ourselves out over all the lounges enjoying a glass of something nice, a few snacks and the wonderful sounds of the ocean. There are all manner of things available should you need them like an iron, hairdryer, vacuum, mop etc. There is also space for three cars - although be careful backing out of the driveway as it is quite steep. Summing up - this place is LOVELY. PS our dog didn’t miss out as she found a home for herself on a mat in the master bedroom - she just loved that little mat. If you see it – imagine a three legged rescue dog rolling around, delightedly making a home for herself! - Sarah J

We really enjoyed our weekend at the Beach House. It is a wonderful place for 8 friends - not just for families! :) It was very clean, everything was prepared and the keys were ready for us to be collected. Carolyn was very helpful with everything and we could easily reach her. It's a great place to have a yummy self-cooked dinner. The neighbourhood is beautiful and the garden is as well. We would highly recommend to stay at the Beach House! A small hint: it's worth to get up very early and to watch the sunrise from the great porch! - Anna

Lovely place, only short walk to the beach and short drive to Hastings Street. Dog is allowed on the beach, 200 mtrs from the access, on both sides. Very nice house. - Mariel

This was a great place to bring our dogs - a very secure yard and only a short walk to the beach. The location is lovely and quiet, beds very comfortable and there is everything you need in the house to make for a great beach holiday. It's especially nice to wake to the sounds of the waves and the birds singing in the trees. - Marni
